Fine Silver pups hit top grade, Igoby Brady AA pup

It has been quite the week for freshman sire, Fine Silver*. Yesterday alone saw O Ya Country Boy score a win up at Dubuque, Night Montana got nipped right at the wire in a very tough B race and Oya Mary Ann finished a great 2nd in A competition at Mardi Gras. Some of the "D'Bulls" prefix Silver pups are now drawing in and the Silver pups out of Jr's Prelude official school this AM at Palm Beach! I think the Silver pups like a "fine wine" will get better with age. I fact I guarantee it!

Coach Fancy Dove, AA daughter of All American Igoby Brady, won AA at Tri-State Friday night. Greg Geter has always said she would end up on the backside and would shine. And shine she did! You can see her replay on our Replay blog! Igoby Brady is the first All American son of Kiowa Sweet Trey. He is out of a Flying Train bitch and is throwing more bottom into his pups than his sire. I am appalled that this outstanding stakes winning dog has gone largely ignored by the breeding public! It is an absolute mystery to me. And now he has outstanding pups running at one of the toughest tracks in the country!

Sword of Eile is now resting comfortably at the B&B Kennel. Bernie will handslip the pup tomorrow. Two of Roger Knauff's Eile's are now residing in the Harris Kennel at Southland. The rest of the pups will be going to both Country Roads and Blue and Gold Kennel at Tri-State. This is a very highly touted group of Eile pups. I will throw Bob Rosko's Eile pups into that statement as well. I have heard that his pups are schooling very well down at the TGA track and William Hays has told him the will be "major track" pups. Rickie Fitzgerald and connections will be watching these pups like a hawk from over in Ireland. We have been waiting a long 18 months for this time to come.

PJ's Richmond is due with her Stan's Boy Flyer pups on July 2nd. It is kind of happy/sad for me. It is sad in the fact that this along with a handful of litters is the end of an era. Gable Dodge's greatest son will end with these final few litters. He will have to carry on through Hometown Boy, Brady Thomas and Red Thunder. We still have a little over 40 vials left of Stan's Boys brother, Dad's Flyer. They are available by private treaty.

Iceman Brutus.....I have heard confirmation that the first bitch we bred to him is indeed pregnant. I am fairly certain RCK Sundown is pregnant as well. I should be positive within the next week to week and a half.

Roger Knauff just bred ANOTHER bitch to Swahili Eile* this AM. That makes Roger and his finishing trainer, Phil Harris, the foremost authorities on Eile pups! We wish Roger the best of luck with his latest Eile breeding!

Palm Beach is getting ready to show schooling.....need to go cheer on the lot of Fine Silver* pups navigating the oval this am!

Cheers!

Fine Silver* pups move to top grades!!!! More wins this week!

When the first lot of Fine Silver* pups ran at the Nationals, there were a few outspoken naysayers about what a disappointment he is at stud. Now those naysayers will be silenced. I always knew that Fine Silver* pups would be late bloomers. My friends in Ireland had warned me repeatedly to "go slow" with them as they would need to hit 20+ months to come into their own. The very first litter already has a grade A in it at Mardi Gras. The rest of the litter is at Dubuque, a notoriously deep, heavy and inconsistant track. They are holding their own there but a move South would probably have them in the ranks of their sister, Oya Mary Ann. Night Montana, who is at Palm Beach also has a bit of a story behind him. He just won again to move into grade B and should be a puppy stakes favorite this Fall. He was raised on a very small farm and finished by someone who has been thrown out of the business. Let's just say the pup was given zero chance of ever making it anywhere. The fact that he has overcome these obstacles and is running like he is speaks volumes of the class of dog he really is! And let's not forget Fine Cheyenne.....running on the tough Derby Lane circuit....a track with long and demanding stretches. Cheyenne is a pup I think we should keep an eye on as she matures. She is out of the class bitch, Molly and deserves a look.

Iceman Brutus* will be a father soon. RCK Sundown went off her feed right on schedule. She is filling out nicely and I expect a big litter. Fuzzys Derby was also bred to him right before Sundown so I expect two litters to hit the ground within days of each other. I cannot say enough about what an honest fellow this lad really is. I think we all need to let the fact that he smashed the great Westmead Hawk's track record sink in. This dog is the top ranked Toms The Best son in this country. He deserves a look for what he has accomplished, how he is ranked and his pedigree. He is the entire package and perfectly suited for this country.

Due to the extreme heat here (100 degrees) we have not had much activity this week on the farm....no sprinting or gigging. Hopefully the heat will break and we can get back to work!

Sword Of Eile due to arrive at the racing kennel this week. The hauler he was on broke down and he was taken back to the farm in OK last week. He is the much touted and anticipated son of Swahili Eile*. I am told another son to keep your eyes on is RCK King Tut racing for the Harris Kennel at Southland.

Happy Father's Day to all you father's out there!

Breedings and racers and visitors......

Fine Silver* pups are starting to show their stuff on the tracks. It looks like he is throwing speedy, hard trying pups that tend to be a bit of a late bloomer. We anticipated that as it is a Larkhill Jo trait. We have relocated our Fine Silver* pups to B&B Kennel at Palm Beach. Tri-State was just too deep and heavy for speed dogs.

Sword of Eile will also be leaving the training farm and headed to the track on the 15th of this month. Roger Knauff has told me his will leaving around the end of the month as well and are headed for Southland and Tri-State. We wish all the Swahili Eile* pups a safe journey to the track and great luck ! We have heard nothing but praise for all the litters in training so we are expecting great things from these babies. Congrats to Tim Anthony on his new litter of Eile's born yesterday to Kaycar Aurora!

We are timing several females right now and have several due to come in season. Greys Nordic Ice and Oooga Chockah are being monitored closely as they are due in season anytime. I bred KB's Endura for Henry Howe last night and am timing Dance Of Dreams.

Denny and Wanda Curry will be visiting with us most of the week. They are coming down to see the pups and Bouncing Bucky. I am praying the rain stays away for their visit!

We gigged the Maryville Rumble* ex JT's Petey Girl pups as well as the Hondo Black and Westmead Hawk crew. All did well and chased hard. The Hondo Blacks and Hawks will be moved into the long runs in July to prepare to leave for the finishing farms.
