Rumble pups have been winning and winning. This afternoon Rumble pups won at Orange Park and Derby Lane. They are showing a lot of come from behind wins. Winning from as far back as 7th or 8th. I have been amazed at the intestinal fortitude the second wave of Rumble pups are showing. If I had to sum it up in one word I think I would have to say "guts". Obviously people are noticing the pups as Rumble's breedings once again have skyrocketed making him by far the busiest import sire in America today.

Hometown Boy now has vials of semen available. His DVD is done and we are hoping to actually load it onto the website for viewing. We will be able to reach a wider audience that way.

We have added a few sires under our "Frozen" Sires" link. If you are interested in Brookside Bear please contact me. If you are interested in any of the other sires listed please contact the person whose contact info is listed.

Congrats to Henry Howe on Take It Over running undefeated so far in the puppy stakes at Orange Park.

Also congrats to the D'Arcys on their 2nd and 4th place finishes in the Palm Beach Grand Classic.

We are offering some stud services on the Global Greyhounds auction to assist the NGA with their Special Legislative Fund. I hope you check it out and bid high and bid often.

Everything for our new Endoscopy Lab has been ordered and purchased. We anticipate the equipment being delivered mid-June.

Check out the Roper Report as Martin writes about a potential North Carolina Hall of Fame canine athlete!

Chris' Cache features all the latest replays of our pups running and winning at the track.

Congrats to Doug Allen (pictured at left) on TWO wins on Saturday afternoon up at the tough Tri-State oval! The night before he had a 2nd and a 3rd up at Tri-State! Not a bad weekend for the "Double Down Greyhounds" owned by Doug and Donna Allen!
Congrats out to Henry Howe on his impressive runs in puppy stake qualifiers. Take It Over dominated by 11 lengths to win. Hanks Madison won his heat (raised here) followed by Hanks Blackhawk (also raised here). Hanks Cody (raised here) finished 2nd in his heat. We hope Henry puts all four in the final.
Best of luck to everyone in tomorrow's Palm Beach Grand Classic. Our dear friends, the D'Arcys have two in the final. We wish them the best of luck for a repeat win. They won it last year with All American, Dreamy Blossom (Maryville Rumble* x Valoris).
Even though the industry is in a decline we are expanding!!! We are building more runs! I have not built runs in 6 years! We will be putting in 4 20'X200' runs in the coming weeks. As well as expanding the lab!!!!
Walking down memory lane....it was over decade ago that I boarded a private plane at 3am headed to Indianapolis. I was at the Indy 500, hopped a helicopter, another private jet, another helicopter and landed right before the start of the Coca-Cola 600. I admit...I was looking through some old photographs last night and it made me remember that long day that never seemed to end. Congrats to Scott Dixon on his Indy win.....the 600 is still in progress....we will see who ends up a winner after a long night of 600 miles of racing!

Pictured is DC Brenda Lee. She was bred to Fine Silver*. She is a littersister to Bouncing Bucky and Trent Lee.

We have purchased Storz endoscopy equipment and will be starting to do transcervical inseminations here on the premise. The Storz equipment is the absolute gold standard in veterinary endoscopy equipment. Abilene Animal Hospital in Kansas uses the same equipment. We are the only ones in the greyhound industry that I know of using the Xenon light source. Most inseminators are using a cold light source. The Xenon light source is high definition with a much brighter light. With points down, and gas prices up, we decided to step out on our own and do the frozen inseminations in-house. We will be able to offer the breeder a less invasive (no surgery) and cost effective way to breed with frozen semen. We will be able to offer transcervial inseminations with fresh semen on most all of the stud dogs that we house here. We keep a "libarary" of the most popular studs dogs from all over the country in our tanks.

Keep an eye on Rumbleena.....this young bitch has been running some incredible come from behind races of late at Derby Lane. Even laying as far back as 6th or 7th you cannot count this young Maryville Rumble* pup out. Doug Allen's Blow You Away...another Rumble youngster has climbed up to the B ranks at Tri-State.

Good luck to Henry Howe in the up coming puppy stake qualifiers at Jacksonville. Three of his entries were raised right here!!!

Pictured is a pup by Fine Silver* x Nobody Like Me. This is an Iowa bred litter owned by Gary Reicherts. We thank them for sending in the pictures.

DC Brenda Lee (Brett Lee x San Tan Gem) is in season and with the aide of several breeders who are veterans at breeding Brett Lee....we have decided that Fine Silver* will sire her litter. There is much evidence to prove that a Larkhill Jo son is the way to turn with her.

Danica Driver ran a pretty outstanding race yesterday afternoon. She was in the 8th race - 7 box. She ran a dramatic come from behind place finish.....absolutely flat out driving at the wire. She was laying 5th or 6th and there was no way I thought it possible to drive through traffic like she did. I hope she shows me many more races like this one. There is no doubt - she WILL be a brood bitch when she retires.

Thanks to everyone for the many well wishes and enquiries about Meet The Creeper aka "Cueball". We took him in for follow up x-rays and he is healing wonderfully. He uses all four legs 90% of the time. I think he will heal up better than anyone had ever even hoped for. I know now I absolutely made the right decision doing the surgery.

Word from Chris Stivers is the Hometown Boy promotional DVD will be ready in the next week or so. We will try and download it onto the site for easy viewing.

Also big news...the #1 studkeeper/inseminator in the UK will be paying us a visit soon. We look forward to hosting Chris Cronin and his lovely wife, Claire.

This weekend brought BB Becool back in for an extended visit to be collected for Patti Cooley. "Cool" was the Wheeling win leader. He is the gorgeous black son of Oshkosh Slammer and Bipi. Contact Patti if you are interested in breeding to him

Also in is a pregnant Wheelie Cool for Henry Howe. This is a repeat breeding to Maryville Rumble*. One would think that this must be the first repeat customer for Rumble.....not so! There have already been several repeat breedings including the breeding to Valoris! There have also been many littersisters bred to him as well!

The litter of Maryville Rumble* x Park Top leave next week for training. We wish them luck with their beautiful pups.

Pictured is the beautiful Hometown Boy! He is starting to settle in and getting used to a farm routine. He is very well mannered and affectionate. I am going to leave him to settle this week and will commence collections on him next week.

Congrats are in order for my dear friend Linda Russi on her first grade A racer, Oneco McDreamy. Derek moved into grade A after his box to wire win this afternoon. I am so happy for Linda and Derek! Linda and I picked him out of the "crowd" at the Fall Meet and I think I can safely say....Linda could not be more pleased with her purchase!

Meet "Bear". This 7 month old black male is the progeny of Fine Silver* x Jr's Prelude (San Tan Jammin x Jr's Pastel). He looks like his grandsire, Larkhill Jo and chases like there is no tomorrow. This litter is completely lead broke and have been around the whirly gig 3 times. They are very keen chasers and I could not be more pleased with them!

Hometown Boy is HERE!!!! We welcome our newest star to the studbarn! I am going to let him settle into his new home this weekend and we will collect him the beginning of next week. We are very excited about Boy's second career and I think he will be as successful in the breeding barn as he was on the race track! His promotional DVD is in production and will be available in the coming weeks if you are thinking about breeding to "Boy" and would like a DVD please send us an email and we will add you to the list. Big thanks to Pat and Randy Floyd for the incredible opportunity to stand their Champion for them! One needs to only look at his lines to see how incredible he really was on the track. And his litter is the stuff dreams are made of. Brady Thomas, Legends Field, Miss Merle, Blue Deuce etc. By the late, great Stan's Boy Flyer out of #1 American brood, Touche Baby.
All the newborn pups are doing well and thriving. The moms are doing well and starting to take some time to themselves now that the pups are a week old. Park Top's 4 week olds are already out the doggy door and running around their pen! Smart babies they are!
JT's Petey Girl apprears to be in whelp to Maryville Rumble*. I am especially anxious as this is her first litter and her dam was not only one of my foundation females but a very cherished pet. I lost Joy Lynne 2 years ago and I have always hoped to carry on her bloodline.
Good luck to everyone participating in this years 2008 Palm Beach Grand Classic and English Derby. First round heats are underway today for the Grand Classic and the second day of first round heats for the Derby are today as well. There were some upsets in the first day of heats for the Derby.
